family secret rewritten

I rewrote this one... I knew it was a little weak and I got some good feedback about it. I can't give too much closure, though, because it's something that's not finished in my life. Hopefully this one gives you a little more to chew on

Ohhh, I can add some insight to this story. Ex calls me and tells me Boy needs to change. I suggested he focus on just one change, i.e. "need to get fresh air exercise daily". He says (as he always did) - yeah, good idea. And then goes off and does the opposite (as he always did) and gives the Boy a laundry list of complaints. I was so proud of the Boy when he told me he ripped up the note and gave it to his dad.

I hated my the ex asked my advice, knowing it was useless to give an opinion.

That is so sad. I can relate. Being the freaking middle child. Everything good you do is forgotten or ignored and everything bad you do is either related to something your older brother did and you were "forewarned about" so it's "your fault that you didn't listen to us." Or it's played up for your younger brother so you're made an example of so he won't "turn out like you." Man, parents can suck sometimes. *HUG* Morgan!
