HAHA Yay! I got that way when I learrned how to crochet lol. I had a lot of coasters and "blankets" because I only knew how to make squares haha. So anyway, seeing that it gets to MAYBE 45 degrees there and it gets well below zero here, I think you should send me one of your famous "MorganWear" scarves ;) Teehee j/k Funny comic!

Hats need circular needles or DPNs, which are not fun! But if you want to learn fancy stitches like for laces, check out the Knit Witch videos on YouTube.

Oh, and re: the expense... if you buy at JoAnn Fabrics, never buy without a sale or a coupon, because they have them all the time. You can save some cash that way.

Ahh I've been so neglectful of your blog the last few months, but I'm so excited you're knitting! I looove knitting. I learned to crochet at 12 and started knitting at 17, and while I go through inactive phases it always makes me happy when I come back to it. I used to do all-acrylic stuff, which is much better for the pocketbook, but the more I craft the more of a yarn snob I get. I recommend Lion Brand Wool-Ease, because it's a sturdy yarn of a good weight, while being a natural blend and comes in a lot of great colors. It's not too expensive and is often on sale at places like JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby, so it's great for a lot of projects while not being so harsh on your hands as acrylics. Okay, I'm going to stop jabbering on.
